Grant Program
History of Grants
Since the foundation has been established in 2001 we have distributed over $200,000 to our wonderful educators.
In 2011, MEF established a new Leadership Grant for school administrators. Please see below for more information and to download a copy of the application.

Funds may be used to pay for materials, resources, guest speakers, conferences, and professional development and learning opportunities. The Maynard Education Foundation is looking to fund those proposals that bring innovative ideas to the Maynard Public Schools and provide opportunities for staff and students that are not typically covered by the district budget. Historically, MEF Grants have ranged from $50 to $4500.
Application Procedures
Download an application. Completed applications should be mailed to: MEF, P.O. Box 89, Maynard, MA 01754 or emailed as an attachment to: mefgrants@gmail.com. MEF will accept applications on a rolling basis from September 1st – April 15th. Applications will be reviewed the second week of each month. Award letters will be sent the third week of the month.
Leadership Grants
Leadership Grants are for administrators who are seeking to make a difference throughout the school system. Grants may not exceed $1,000. MEF will accept leadership grant applications until January 31, 2012. MEF will make a decision regarding all applications no later than February 28, 2012.
